What makes ALORPIT different from other POS software?
Every ALORPIT install is custom-built for the store it's running in — your business name is built into the software itself, not just a logo slapped on a generic template. It's also 100% offline-first: your register keeps working during an internet outage, because your data was never depending on the internet to begin with.
What happens if my internet goes down?
Nothing — your POS keeps ringing up sales, printing receipts, and running normally. The only thing that needs occasional internet is a brief license check, and even that has a built-in grace window before anything is affected. See "What is the Heartbeat system?" below for the specifics.
What is the "Heartbeat" system, and what's the $149 fee about?
ALORPIT checks in with our license server roughly every 5 minutes when you have internet, just to confirm your subscription is active — this doesn't require you to do anything and doesn't slow anything down. If your store genuinely goes without any internet connection at all for 7 straight days, the software gives you a 48-hour grace warning before a temporary lock, and reinstating after a full lockout carries a $149 fee. If you know you'll be closed for a while (vacation, renovation), turning on Vacation Mode ahead of time avoids this entirely.
Can I try it before committing?
ALORPIT doesn't run generic free trials — access is offered through Pioneer Access, a paid onboarding path where your build is set up and configured for your actual store from day one. Reach out via the "Apply Now" button and we'll walk you through what that looks like for your business.
